I love brunch. And I love having breakfast meals anytime of the day. It was one rainy noon when I 1st tried FlapJacks’ Greenbelt Branch. The ambiance is very homey. Almost all their seats are couch (which is good since I guess almost all of us want to have our meal in a comfortable chair for us to enjoy more the food).  The attendants are nice and very obedient, but what irritated me that time was there were lots of flies; the manager did made an immediate action by ordering one of their staffs to kill the flies with the use of a bundle of newspaper which is not effective and gross. And I guess their exhaust then was not working so by the time we went out of the restaurant, me and my partner smells like the food we ate.

Greenhills Branch is far different from that of Greenbelt. The attendants are mostly boys and very attentive, obedient and suggestive which is good because I get to know the menu well. This branch is a bit crowded but clean.

The foods are great from appetizer to dessert. Prices are very reasonable. Servings are huge and good for 2. What I like most are their “Specialty drinks”, I recommend this to all health conscious like me. You can even alter 1 or 2 from those drinks’ ingredients and have it done your way, Thus, making Flapjacks’ as my favorite restaurant.

So these are some of the foods and indoor shots we have from both branches...

I love Japanese cuisine except the raw and spicy ones. Here in Philippines, There are a lot of Japanese mixes with western fusion Restaurants are built to cater Pinoy tastes. And if there would be one Japanese Restaurant that I’ll recommend, it’ll be Kimono Ken. They serve the best lustful Japanese foods I ever tasted. With affordable prices, it is the place where you can bring your family and barkada for dinner or any celebration.
I visit Kimono Ken often, maybe 3x a month. So whenever I go there, I knew exactly what I’ll order and here are some of them…

Ebi tempura P 300
3 pcs. deed fried breaded juicy prawns

Sakana-Fry P205
Crisp fried Alaskan dory with tartar

Gyu Hireniku P320
Beef tenderloin

CALIFORNIA MAKI P135

Green Lantern Donut Edition at Krispy Kreme

I don't have a sweet tooth.
I don't like ice cream (I actually hate them, i only eat ice cream if it's Arce Dairy, and if it's Yogurt based), I love cakes, but not the sweet ones. I hate softdrinks and anything sweet!

When It comes to donut, I only go for Krispy Kreme Original Glazed! and give the other flavors either to my cousin or to my shoti. One week after I watch Green Lantern's Premier night (Thank you very much to my dear Friend Charmaine Dy for the invitation), I went to Mall of Asia to grab some donuts, I got surprise when I saw a donut with ewww-like green jelly place on the center, then I looked at the promo board at the cashier...

''In brightest day, in blackest night, No evil shall escape my sight. Let those who worship evil's might, Beware my power... Green Lantern's light!''

I told to myself that I need to taste that so we bought 2 pcs. I only had 2 bites, enough for me to critic these donuts.

Looks like boobs!

It's yummy, the jelly tastes like green apple, the donut has thin layer of  HERSHEY'S Chocolate above.
I bet my brother would love to have one!

The Green Lantern Kreme Doughnut is a limited edition doughnut available at Krispy Kreme stores until July 10, 2011, so grab some now!!!

MeiDolls Café

Saunterfield (2nd Floor), Km.20 Ortigas Avenue Extension, Cainta, Rizal
(It is the orange building after SEA OIL and BALIWAG, across BROOKSIDE SUBD. and RUBLOU Marketplace)
' 0915-9821971
7 meidollscafe@yahoo.com

I accidentally discovered the place after searching for new restaurants to visit, and I eagerly wanted to go at once since I love cosplay and anime.

MeiDolls Café is Manila's premiere maid/cosplay cafe owned and managed by Reia Ayunan (I heard she’s also into cosplaying).

The Place: Small but cute. I hope they’ll find new location since they’ll need additional chairs after being featured from different network programs. I like the traditional Japanese dining table and chairs, I also hoped that they’ll put bigger/cooler air condition unit and put some (pink) curtains since their place is on second floor, it is uncomfortable eating with scorching sunlight touching your face. The Café is also said to be cosplayers tambayan. (I'm planning to have my 22nd birthday celebrate on their place...what do you think?)
 Lanterns all over...=)

This part needs to be fixed...

The Attendants: All of them are cute! I love their costume, hair and BOOTS!!!

They’ll really treat you as their master. Every time you’ll call them or go to your table, they will greet you “Hi Hi...” with cute small anime voice =) they’ll also call you “master” instead of the regular “Ma’am or Sir”. After putting your orders on your table, they will asked for your hand and spritz some alcohol/ hand sanitizer

And before you eat your food, they’ll give you their chant for you to enjoy your meal more...
 "POWER UP!!!"

The foods:  They got few food choices...and here are some of what we ordered:

Peppermint Ice tea P55
Tastes like Colgate toothpaste dissolve in cold water.

Lasagna P110
I love the taste. Yummy!
if it’ll be your first time to visit the place, I recommend that you order for lasagna

Banana-Mango Smoothie P80
A Must-try. Refreshing.

MeiDoll Ramen P80
Good For 2-3 person.
❤ it!

Mango Juice P50
Love it with my lasagna, with real mango tidbits

MeiDoll Gyudon P110
Shoti said: "7/10 rating"

MeiDoll's Menu

They Also gave us some Dance Numbers....Very Cute!

I'll go back to that place again, because it made me feel that I was on a different planet.
