I love brunch. And I love having breakfast meals anytime of the day. It was one rainy noon when I 1st tried FlapJacks’ Greenbelt Branch. The ambiance is very homey. Almost all their seats are couch (which is good since I guess almost all of us want to have our meal in a comfortable chair for us to enjoy more the food).  The attendants are nice and very obedient, but what irritated me that time was there were lots of flies; the manager did made an immediate action by ordering one of their staffs to kill the flies with the use of a bundle of newspaper which is not effective and gross. And I guess their exhaust then was not working so by the time we went out of the restaurant, me and my partner smells like the food we ate.

Greenhills Branch is far different from that of Greenbelt. The attendants are mostly boys and very attentive, obedient and suggestive which is good because I get to know the menu well. This branch is a bit crowded but clean.

The foods are great from appetizer to dessert. Prices are very reasonable. Servings are huge and good for 2. What I like most are their “Specialty drinks”, I recommend this to all health conscious like me. You can even alter 1 or 2 from those drinks’ ingredients and have it done your way, Thus, making Flapjacks’ as my favorite restaurant.

So these are some of the foods and indoor shots we have from both branches...

KFC Tower Burger Review by Kristine Copeng

After The Double Down hit (Remember those times when you feel mad around November to December 2010 because whenever you order for Double Down and almost all KFC branches are out of stock? Haaaay.) , KFC again Surprised us with another Brilliant Product! TOWER BURGER.

So, what does it consist?
-BUN
-MAYO
-LETTUCE
-HASH BROWN
-CHEESE
-CHICKEN FILLET
-BUN

Price:
ala carte for P110.00
P140 for a meal with reg. fries and drink

This 2 and a half inches Jaw Dropping or Should I say Jaw Locking Burger is really hard to bite!
My technique? I removed the hash brown, then separately eat it from the burger just to enjoy this amazing creation.

My only problem with this is the Hash Brown. I already ate twice, ordered from 2 different branches, but still the oil used to fry the hash brown is old. And They should release or discard the product 15 to 20minutes after being cook, because the longer it stays the oily the hash brown gets.

Overall, This is the perfect burger to fill those hungry stomachs!

Jollibee Chicken Nuggets

Online DeliveryWebsite: http://jollibeedelivery.com/

I love Jollibee! From their Regular Yum, Amazing Aloha to their Spaghetti and Of Course, Jolly Hotdog.

Now, From one of the Leading Fast Food Chain in the Philippines, Jollibee now Offers Jollibee Chicken Nugget Crunchers.

Jollibee Chicken Nuggets (4pcs) Comes with different shapes (like what we often buy to our local Groceries), with sweet barbecue dip.

They're also proud to say that these nuggets are fortified with Vitamin A (Well, Because of the carrot bits).

Give kids the full delight with a Jollibee Kids Meal option where they can enjoy the Jollibee Chicken Nugget Crunchers complete with rice, regular-sized softdrink, and the featured collectible toy for only P98. It can also be enjoyed solo for P75, as a value meal with rice and regular-sized softdrink for P99, or with regular fries and regular-sized softdrink for P110.

My critic? I still Prefer Mcdonald's. the dip is not tasty and the nuggets are chewy and not Crunchy.

Double-Fried Chickens are now booming Philippines! There’s BON CHON and Now, Let’s talk about Chicken Charlie.  “Owned and conceptualized by young entrepreneur Ifore Yu, the restaurant is named after his dad, Charlie. The homegrown business, which started as a small family enterprise in a shop at N.S. Amoranto St in Quezon City, grew by word of mouth.” And Now, Almost all of my friends know and how lustful Chicken Charlie is. When I tried BON CHON, I said “This one is soo Yummy!”, but after 3 days when I tried CHICKEN CHARLIE’S I said “This is by far the best chicken I ever tasted!”

Comparing BON CHON &CHICKEN CHARLIE

Price: Chicken Charlie is way cheaper than Bon Chon

Taste: In Bon Chon, it’s the skin that gives flavor to chicken, after you eat the skin, the meat is tasteless. While in Chicken Charlie, It’s the whole Chicken that gives the taste. My cousin Donica Tiu even said “Mas masarap to kesa dun sa una among binili (Bon Chon), balat lang may lasa”.

Service: Bon Chon will let you for a while (3 to 6 minutes only) but Chicken Charlie will let you wait A month of Sundays!

Yes! You’ve read that right! Waiting is the only problem in Chicken Charlie, you need to wait for 10 to 20 minutes, while Chicken Charlie excused and reminds all costumers in their website that they don’t do pre-cooking which means that you’ll have to wait a while before you bite into the only chicken with a soul-satisfying crunch, but it’s worth every minute.
So 1 tip I can give you is to call the branch 15 to 20 minutes before going there.

Chicken Flavors: both have Soy Garlic and Hot Sweet Sauce.

What Chicken Charlie can also Offer?

Yam Fries P35
I guess they used Kamote instead of Potato, Oh yeah right! That's why it's called Yam Fries.

Cheesestick dynamite
5pcs P60
8pcs P88
They surround one whole chili in a coat of creamy cheese and wrap it in wonton before a quick dip in the deep fryer. The result? A surprisingly creamy, spicy, and intense burst of flavor in your mouth.

Wedges 45

Pickled Radish 20

 Charlie's Bowl P59
 Crispy Chicken Rice Toppings
a bowlful of extra-crunchy chicken strips brushed with their signature soy-garlic sauce, served with steamed rice.

Bundaberg Sarsaparilla P90
Bundaberg Sarsaparilla contains no artificial colours.
Traditionally brewed to a genuine old recipe from real sarsaparilla root, licorice root, vanilla beans and molasses, Bundaberg Sarsaparilla is an authentic taste of yesteryear.
in short, RootBeer.

Inside Chicken Charlie...
I love what's written on the wall...

When it buzz and starts to light up, it means something delicious comes! =)

You can write your "LOVE" on their wall provided...

MY VERDICT?

NO OTHER CHICKEN CAN MATCH CHICKEN CHARLIE!

I’ve known Sentro 1771 since I was in High School but I wasn’t able to try their Restaurant because of my busy schedule. Last Saturday I was given the chance to Visit their branch in Serendra to do some food review and of course taste their famous Corned beef sinigang!

The place is filled by families and group of friends chatting; the tables are very near apart which made the place noisy well at least I can still hear my partner talking.

The female attendant with huge nose that serviced us is not that courteous, she leaves our table without even letting us finish our words, and all she did was chatting and giggling with her male co-attendants ---Very annoying! They should fire her!

While waiting for our orders, I took some pictures Inside Sentro:
Huge Painting will be seen on their walls, Painting represents Filipino culture and Family Values.

 Meet Ronnie...

 Bored while waiting...

Their Specialties were written in Red Board just in case you dunno what to order..

You can see their Kitchen from your tables... Busy Chefs inside...

Anyway, the foods are great and here are some of them:

Tokwa’t Belly P270

A tokwa’t baboy effect for non-pork eaters! Deep Fried bangus belly and tofu cubes in a distinctive vinegar soy dressing with minced onions.

SINIGANG NA CORNED BEEF P420

This is their house specialty…A brilliant Food!
Many may have thought that the corned beef used are the usual canned goods we often get from our kitchen cabinets every time we're hungry & too lazy to cook...I'll be a spoiler here... it's NOT! Indeed the beef taste like the canned ones but it's different, you'll see from the image above the the beef slices are tender and Huge chunks which means the beef used came from FLESH and not preserved which is good Because Preservatives are big NO-NO to anyone's health!

 GARLICKY ADOBO P380

Adobo mix of pork and beef with toasted garlic and tinged with annatto seeds
Not your ordinary adobo! --A must-try!

SAGO'T GULAMAN P110
Bottomless. It's made from scratch! The 2nd to the best Sago't Gulaman I ever tasted!

TIP TIP TIP!!!
For starters I recommend you to try Fried Kesong Puti P250
It's like cheese pops served with sweet chili guava sauce and garlic dip
